Breaking new ground
Works trains are now operating on the temporary 'extension' and going where the last train movements were the demolition trains on the S&D in 1968! Albeit at very low speeds and under careful supervision, engineering trains are now regularly using the new track for movements and soon the transfer of materials currently blocking Up line extension progress, will start to be made to this area adjacent to the new temporary line.
